Stigma is a huge deterrent to access care and inclusion. It worsen one’s mental state and reduces them to things rather than people. Until community actors , family members , friends etc learn to support people with lived experience , the hope for community Mental Health will be dashed. Mental health care must be a priority for every country including low and middle income countries like Sierra Leone. Greater investment must be made to ensure greater access at all levels and should be for everyone regardless of religion, gender, ethnic background , etc. Until government leaders seek to invest in mental wellbeing, human resource outputs and national economy will be and remain to be a huge challenge.
