I am currently the Programme Administrator for the Enabling Access to Mental Health Project in Sierra Leone (EAMH_SL) and Financial Officer for the Mental Health Coalition (SL) and have been a part of its activities since its inception. I have been given this crucial role because of my performance in the position in the EAMH_SL which initiated the formation of the Mental Health Coalition with funds from the European Union (EU). I joined the Mental Health Coalition so as to support it continuity, even when the duration of the project may have ended.

My role in the Mental Health Coalition is to:

• Record and maintain the day to day financial transactions of the Organisation.

• Being the custodian of the Organisation finances both in cash and at bank.

• Build up the confidence level of members by providing them with a comprehensive financial report.

• Assist in the frequent update of the website and the production of newsletters and other publications.

• Assist other executives as and when needed.

Those affected by mental health issues cannot speak for themselves unless there is a strong coalition of interested individuals and organizations in mental health issues who can speak with one voice. My aim is for continuity of the Mental Health Coalition and its expansion nation wide.
